Laser Hair Removal

Q. How Do Our Hair Removal Lasers Compare With Other Methods?
A. "Shaving, waxing, and depilatory creams are all temporary methods which must be repeated on a frequent basis. Our lasers offer permanent hair reduction for lasting results. "

Q. How Do Our Lasers Compare With Electrolysis?
A. "Electrolysis is a tedious, invasive, and painful process that involves inserting a needle into each individual hair follicle and delivering an electrical charge to them one at a time. Electrolysis often requires years of treatments at regular intervals. By delivering light energy to hundreds of hair follicles at a time, our lasers effectively treat an area in just seconds that would take over an hour with electrolysis. "

Q. Why Choose Our Hair Removal Over Other Laser Hair Removal Systems?
A. "Using the latest technology in laser hair removal, our lasers can rapidly treat large areas without the limitations of older technologies. Unlike other systems, our lasers can treat the fine hair on a woman's upper lip just as easily and effectively as the coarse hair on a man's back. The cooled handpieces increase patient comfort and minimize the adverse skin reaction commonly seen with other lasers. Not all lasers and light devices are equal. We have chosen our laser hair removal systems based on their superior rate of success, comfort, and safety. "

Q. What Areas of the Body Can Be Treated?
A. "The CoolGlide laser system can remove hair from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, and back. It can also treat sensitive areas like the chest, nipples, and bikini line. "

Q. What Do Laser Hair Removal Treatments Feel Like?
A. The handpieces cool and sooth as they glide along your skin. When the pulse of light is delivered, some patients experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required; however, some patients may prefer to use a topical anesthetic when sensitive areas are treated.

Q. What Happens After the Treatment?
A. Immediately following your treatment, the area may appear a bit red and swollen. With traditional laser treatments, these symptoms will typically dissipate within a few minutes to a few hours. At The MedSpa, we apply a unique topical cream following your treatment that eliminates most irritation upon contact! Three to seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be "regrowth" of hair. Actually, most of these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment, and are not "regrowing". Between treatments you should not wax or tweeze your hair, but it is permissible to shave.

Q. What Are the Possible Side Effects?
A. Slight reddening and local swelling of the skin, similar to slight sunburn may occur in some patients. These effects typically last from a few minutes to a few hours, depending upon the area treated and the sensitivity of each patient's skin. Normal daily activity may be resumed immediately. In rare instances, blistering may occur. We will discuss all risks and benefits with you thoroughly at your consultation.

Q. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A. Most areas require 5-8 treatments, but the number of treatments you may require for optimal long term benefit depends on various factors such as your hair's thickness, the area treated, and your hair growth cycle. Interestingly, not all hairs are actively growing at the same time, but actually go through three distinct phases: growth, regression, and resting. Laser hair removal treatments work by disabling the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to disable all of the hair follicles in a given area.

Q. How Long Do Results Last?
A. Results are the most permanent available. Most patients require periodic maintenance.

Q. How much is the cool sculpting procedure?
A. Thank you for your email. Cool Sculpting prices vary depending on the area you are interested in. Please feel free to contact the office for more information. 410-548-7578

Q. Cost of Coolsculpting?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. Pricing does vary depending on the area. Please feel free to call The MedSpa for more information. 410-548-7578

Q. How long does cool sculpting last.An how many treatments would I have to get to see the results I want? If you do have to get more than one treatment,do you pay one fee or do you have to pay each time you go?
A. Thank you for inquiry. To provide the most accurate information please contact our office for a consultation. Each person is unique regarding what is needed. Thank you! 410-548-7578

Vein Therapy

Q. How Does Vein Therapy Work?
A. "The CoolGlide laser delivers energy which causes the blood within the vein to coagulate. The vessel is then slowly absorbed by the body and gradually disappears. Blood flow will then be redirected to viable, healthy veins. "

Q. What Types of Veins Can Be Treated?
A. "CoolGlide systems can remove unsightly veins from all parts of the body. Small, facial veins (or "telangiectasia") can be treated quickly without bruising or complication. Spider veins and large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. However, "knotty" varicose veins are not good candidates. A careful evaluation at your consultation will allow us to determine the best course of treatment. "

Q. How Does This Compare to Sclerotherapy (Vein Injections)?
A. "At your consultation, we will advise you on the best course of action, but many patients prefer laser vein therapy to painful injections. Sclerotherapy is often unable to treat the small vessels that the CoolGlide laser can eliminate in a matter of seconds. "

Q. What About Blood Blisters and Port Wine Stains?
A. "Blood blisters, or hemangiomas, which appear as small red "moles" respond very well to laser vein therapy, often with just one treatment. Patients with port wine stains and other vascular lesions who had given up on finding a solution have been overwhelmed by the success of their CoolGlide vascular treatments. "

Q. What Do Treatments Feel Like?
A. "Most patients experience a quick snap or stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. After the pulse, most patients do not experience any residual sensation. "

Q. What Are the Possible Side Effects?
A. Although many patients report few if any side effects, those most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local swelling of the skin. These effects typically last for less than 24 hours. Some patients may experience bruising and, in rare instances, blistering may occur. When larger veins are treated, a tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks or months following treatment. We will discuss all risks and benefits with you thoroughly at your consultation.

Q. Are There Any Restrictions on My Activity After Treatment?
A. Patients generally resume most normal activities immediately. However, it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise and hot tubs or saunas for the first 72 hours after treatment. Additionally, we may recommend the use of support hose for a short time following your treatment. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun. As always, it is a good idea to limit your sun exposure.

Q. How Many Treatments Do I Need?
A. Improvement will be seen with one treatment, but most areas require a minimum of two treatments. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. Most areas require a minimum of two treatments.

Q. When Will I See Results?
A. Most patients find that the majority of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, with larger vessels, your final results may not be apparent for several months.

Q. How Long Do Results Last?
A. Over time, it is possible for new veins to appear, but these too can be removed with future laser treatment.

Skin Tightening

Q. How Does Titan™ Work?
A. Titan™ utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. This can cause immediate collagen contraction, resulting in some tightening during the treatment itself. Following the procedure, new collagen development results in further tightening as well as the development of a more youthful complexion with fewer lines, folds, and looseness of skin.

Q. What Areas Respond Best to the Titan™ Procedure?
A. Patients have been successfully treated on many areas of the body where skin is lax. Loose skin along the jawline, eyelids, and under the chin has responded particularly well to the procedure. Other common areas of treatment include the abdomen, back of the upper arm, and loose skin around knees and elbows.

Q. Who Can be Treated?
A. Since the Titan™ procedure is heating tissue beneath the skin's surface, patients of any skin tone can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated.

Q. What Does Titan™ Feel Like?
A. With each pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. It is a comfortable treatment for most patients.

Q. What Are the Possible Side Effects?
A. Side effects are very minimal, if observed at all. Many patients note immediate tightening and a "firmer" feeling to their skin. You can expect to return to your normal daily activities following treatment. As with all procedures, sunscreen is advised. Some patients notice slight redness and mild swelling in the treated area, which generally does not last more than an hour. We will discuss all risks and benefits with you thoroughly at your consultation.

Q. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A. Although some patients see improvement with one treatment, a series of three treatments is recommended.

Q. When Will I See Results?
A. Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, improvement occurs gradually, with the best results appearing over a three to six month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.

Q. How Long Do Results Last?
A. Factors such as genetics, sun exposure, and environmental stressors influence each person to age differently. Maintenance recommendations will be based on your individual symptoms and lifestyle.

Laser Genesis

Q. How Does Laser Genesis Work?
A. By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin's surface, Laser Genesis warms the miniature swollen vessels that create diffuse redness, which are then absorbed by the body over the period of a few weeks. The procedure also stimulates collagen renewal, resulting in tighter pores, smoother skin, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. This method of promoting collagen renewal also smoothes, flattens, and removes the red discoloration of scars.

Q. What is Diffuse Redness?
A. Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy or blotchy cheeks. Individuals with diffuse redness may also flush or blush easily. This condition is caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in an appearance of general redness and may be accompanied by broken capillaries or facial veins. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, forehead, and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often associated with a condition called rosacea and it can be hereditary. Laser Genesis therapy will help your appearance by gently treating and drastically reducing the appearance of this condition.

Q. What Areas Can Be Treated?
A. Laser Genesis patients report excellent results over their entire faces, necks, and décolletage. Additionally, Laser Genesis is very adept at diminishing the appearance of scars on all parts of the body, including acne and surgical scarring.

Q. What Does Laser Genesis Feel Like?
A. Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin's surface during the procedure as the laser hand piece is moved back and forth about 1/2 inch above your skin, similar to airbrushing. You can expect to immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoor activities.

Q. What Are the Possible Side Effects?
A. Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is a slight redness that disappears a short time following treatment.

Q. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A. The treatment results are cumulative. On average, patients require four to six treatments in order to achieve the best results.

Q. When Will I See Results?
A. Most patients notice immediate improvement in pore size and the texture of their skin. Redness and fine lines are considerably less noticeable with future treatments.

Q. How Long Do Results Last?
A. While treatment with Laser Genesis is the most permanent option available, the factors that contribute to aging and diffuse redness will eventually create new swollen capillaries and collagen destruction. Maintenance recommendations will be based on your individual symptoms and lifestyle.

Intense Pulsed Light

Q. How Does LimeLight™ Work?
A. The visible light delivered with LimeLight™ procedure is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots on your skin. The heating of the pigmented cells causes the therapeutic result, effectively destroying the damaged cells.

Q. Can All of My Spots Be Treated This Way?
A. Spots formed by sun exposure can effectively be treated with the LimeLight™ procedure. There are, however, other types of pigmented lesions such as birthmarks and moles. We will perform a quick yet thorough evaluation of your pigmented lesions during your complimentary consultation.

Q. What Areas Can Be Treated?
A. Virtually any part of your body with sun (a.k.a. "age" or "liver") spots or freckles can be safely treated. The face, chest, hands, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically had the most sun exposure. Both single, discrete spots and skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment.

Q. What Do Treatments Feel Like?
A. When the hand piece is placed on your skin, it will feel cool and comfortable. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation.

Q. What Are the Possible Side Effects?
A. Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may also notice a slight reddening of the surrounding skin. This redness typically subsides within a few minutes to a couple of hours. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, darkened spots will flake off as your skin naturally exfoliates. We will discuss all risks and benefits with you thoroughly at your consultation.

Q. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A. Typically, one or two treatments are sufficient to see dramatic improvement. Most individuals require three to five treatments for the best results.

Q. How Long Do Results Last?
A. With additional sun exposure, new spots may appear. These too can be removed. Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots. Maintenance recommendations will be based on your individual symptoms and lifestyle.

Neurotoxins

Q. What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
A. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the trade name of Botulinum Toxin Type A, a purified natural protein toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum, and is the registered trademark of Allergan Inc. In controlled small doses, it is injected directly into the muscles that cause frown lines. These isolated muscles are relaxed by BOTOX® Cosmetic and can no longer contract. Because the specific muscles no longer contract, the action of frowning is stopped and the frown lines soften, relax, and diminish.

Q. Where Can BOTOX® Cosmetic Be Injected?
A. The most common areas of use of BOTOX® Cosmetic are the frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines, and crow's feet. On occasion, some other areas may be treated as well.

Q. When Does BOTOX® Cosmetic Start to Work and How Long Does It Last?
A. The results of your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment will begin to appear in three to four days. The effect will last three to four months, after which the treated muscles will gradually regain their action. When the lines begin to reappear, a simple repeat treatment is all that is necessary to maintain the desired results.

Q. How Safe Is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
A. BOTOX® Cosmetic has been used safely and successfully in ophthalmology for over 10 years and for wrinkle therapy for over 6 years. In the amounts used for wrinkle therapy, the only possible side effects are temporary and localized to the area of injection.

Q. What Side Effects May Be Experienced?
A. As with any injection, there can be temporary swelling, redness, bruising, headache or local discomfort. Rarely, patients have been reported to develop a slight lowering of the eyelid or slight lowering of the forehead. This is temporary and resolves in a few weeks. Some patients may have an uneven or incomplete response to the treatment. BOTOX® Cosmetic does not reduce the action of the muscles of facial expression distant form the site of treatment. Patients with neuromuscular disorder should inform their doctor before therapy. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment should not be administered to women who are pregnant.

Fillers

Q. What is Radiesse®?
A. Radiesse® is a safe, next generation cosmetic dermal filler that is setting a new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles such as Nasolabial Folds. Years of rigorous clinical studies prove that Radiesse® lasts longer than the former leading filler, to safely fill and correct smile lines, Nasolabial Folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse® is made of unique calcium-based Radiesse® microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure. Simply put, Radiesse® treatments deliver a natural look that lasts.

Q. Why Choose Radiesse®?
A. Radiesse® cosmetic dermal filler can address many facial aesthetic and corrective needs. Because the results are natural looking and longer lasting, many clients turn to Radiesse® to achieve a correction that revives and rejuvenates their appearance. No matter if your goals are to correct facial lines and wrinkles or to refresh your appearance, Radiesse® provides a safe, cost-effective and convenient treatment option.

Q. How Does Radiesse® Work?
A. Radiesse® works below the skin's surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a "scaffold" to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen to create a natural, full, youthful look. Radiesse® does more than just temporarily fill-in facial lines and wrinkles it rebuilds your skin's foundation, without the risks associated with permanent fillers. Over time, your body absorbs the gel carrier while collagen has started to grow and infiltrate the area, replacing the gel with your own, natural tissue. The Radiesse® Microspheres continue to provide the support and structure for your body to grow new tissue and collagen until the Microspheres are also safely and naturally absorbed into your body.

Q. Is Radiesse® Safe?
A. Yes. Over 250,000 people have experienced Radiesse® and more than 4,000 health care professionals have been trained to provide Radiesse® treatments. Through years of rigorous industry and independent research worldwide, Radiesse® has been shown to be safe and effective. With Radiesse®, you get safe, clinically tested, FDA Approved reliability.

Q. Is Radiesse® Right for Me?
A. If you are beginning to notice facial wrinkles, lines and folds, you may be an excellent candidate for a Radiesse® treatment.

Q. Why "Fill in" Wrinkles with Radiesse®?
A. Over time, tissue volume diminishes, leaving what is commonly seen as lines and wrinkles, including the deepening of Nasolabial Folds, accentuated smile lines (sometimes called "marionette lines"), fallen cheek pads and sagging jaw lines. Radiesse® can be injected into the skin in order to compensate or correct these areas. By using your body's ability to grow collagen and regenerate tissue, Radiesse® produces natural looking results for a fresh, rested, healthy appearance that still looks like you.

Q. How is a Radiesse® Treatment Performed?
A. Radiesse® is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, quick, and minimally invasive procedure. With the use of a local anesthetic, Radiesse® treatments have little to no downtime, with most clients returning to normal activities soon after treatment.

Q. How Soon Can I Expect Results? How Long Will the Results Last?
A. The results are immediate. Radiesse® continues to deliver results as it works with your body to stimulate new collagen and regenerate tissue. Results typically last a year or more, longer than the former leading cosmetic dermal filler, saving you time and money. Since results may vary, we will do our very best to manage your expectations.

Q. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
A. Many clients will achieve their desired result after just one treatment. Because Radiesse® is a longer-term cosmetic enhancement, and to ensure your satisfaction with the treatment, we might schedule a follow-up visit, where a touch-up treatment might be recommended.

Q. Are There Any Side Effects?
A. Normal, injection-related reactions such as mild irritation, edema, swelling, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection site may occur. These conditions typically resolve on their own within one to two days, but may last longer.

Q. Could I Have an Allergic Reaction to Radiesse®?
A. Radiesse® is biocompatible, meaning there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction. You do not need to undergo skin allergy testing, common in certain animal-based or permanent filler agents, prior to treatment. However, if you believe you are having an allergic reaction to Radiesse®, seek medical attention immediately.

Q. Is Radiesse® Permanent?
A. No. Treatment results are relatively long-lasting, but not permanent. Over time the tiny calcium-based microspheres gradually break down into basic calcium and phosphate ions which are safely and naturally absorbed into your body, leaving your own collagen in their place

CoolSculpting

Q. What does it feel like?
A. As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and intense cold. This soon dissipates. Many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their treatment.

Q. Is the CoolSculpting procedure safe?
A. In the USA, the CoolSculpting procedure is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental area, thigh, abdomen, and flank. As the #1 non-invasive fat reduction procedure and with millions of CoolSculpting procedures performed worldwide, it is proven to be a safe and effective treatment.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. During the procedure you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness, or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, and pain. Rare side effects may also occur. The CoolSculpting procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, or cold agglutinin disease. The CoolSculpting procedure is not a treatment for obesity. As with any medical procedure, ask your physician if the CoolSculpting procedure is right for you.

Q. Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?
A. Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting session is over.

Q. When will I see results?
A. You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. But your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.

Q. Do I need to take special supplements or follow a strict diet and exercise program?
A. No supplements or pills are required and you do not have to adopt new diet and exercise habits. Many patients feel more motivated to take care of themselves after their CoolSculpting treatment. It is as if they get a second lease on their body and want to start anew again by taking even better care of themselves.

Q. What happens if I gain weight down the road?
A. Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting procedure, take even better care of themselves. However, if you do gain weight, you may gain it evenly all over your body, not just in the treated areas.

Q. Do you perform chemical facial peels? If so, can you tell me how much?
A. Thank you for your inquiry. We do perform chemical peels. Please call The MedSpa for more information. Thank you! 410-548-7578

Juvederm XC

Q. What is Juvederm XC?
A. Juvéderm™ is a "next-generation" filler. It is made from hyaluronic acid - a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume. Hyaluronic acid may diminish with age, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm™ injectable gel works to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping to smooth wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm™ employs its unique manufacturing process to provide the highest concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid of any currently available hyaluronic acid dermal filler for long-lasting results. This advanced manufacturing process also works to create a smooth consistency gel that flows easily into the skin during the injection process and provides a smooth, natural look and feel-so everyone will notice (but no one will know!) Juvéderm™ injectable gel is the only filler available with this smooth consistency gel-other existing hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are made of granular consistency gels.
  • Proven safety and effectiveness: Juvéderm™ is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has demonstrated its safety and effectiveness in persons of color.
  • Quick and easy procedure: Juvéderm™ injectable gel is a nonsurgical physician-administered treatment that requires no allergy skin test and minimal recovery or downtime.
  • Personalized treatment: Juvéderm™ injectable gel is available in two formulations - Juvéderm™ Ultra for versatility in contouring and volumizing facial wrinkles and folds, and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus, a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and wrinkles. This allows your healthcare professional to tailor treatment to meet your unique needs.
Seeing results: You should see an immediate improvement in the treatment areas. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last up to 6 months or more. However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental "touch up" treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.

Q. Why does volume loss matter?
A. Over time, your face changes in many ways. This is part of the normal aging process, but genetics and environmental factors can also play a role. You may notice a change in the appearance of your skin, typically in the form of deepening parentheses lines and wrinkles. But what may be less obvious is age-related midface volume loss.

Q. What are the signs of volume loss?
A. Your cheeks may flatten, and the skin may begin to sag. Wrinkles and lines aren't the only signs of aging. Over time, the cheeks flatten, and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin's surface to lift and contour the cheek area.

Q. How long will it last?
A. Juvederm Voluma XC is the only filler proven to last up to 2 years in the cheek area. When treated again after 2 years, patients needed less product to achieve their results.

Q. What is Juvederm Voluma XC?
A. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC injectable gel is the first and only filler FDA-approved to instantly add volume to the cheek area. Wrinkles and lines aren't the only signs of aging. Over time, the cheeks flatten, and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by a natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin's surface to lift and contour the cheek area.It gives you a subtle lift, helping to restore contour and a more youthful profile, for up to 2 years, in patients over the age of 21. It's different than JUVÉDERM® XC and works on a different area of the face. JUVÉDERM® XC smoothes out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, like parentheses. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC, however, adds volume to the cheek area.

Xeomin

Q. How Does XEOMIN® Work?
A. XEOMIN® , like BOTOX is a neurotoxin designed for temporary relaxation of the glabella to improve the look of frown lines. It is made through a unique precision manufacturing process that isolates the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the "accessory proteins" that don't play an active role in treatment. XEOMIN® is a highly purified neurotoxin. Frown lines form when facial expressions are made as the muscle under the skin contracts. Over time, as your skin ages, these repeated expressions cause lasting frown lines. Neurotoxins, such as XEOMIN®, are prescription medications that block the release of chemicals that cause these muscle contractions. So frown lines are softened.

Belotero

Q. What is BELOTERO?
A. The latest hyaluronic acid filler specifically designed to integrate into tissues to provide subtle and even results without disrupting the natural contours of the face. The results are very natural with instant volume replacement to fine lines and wrinkles.

Q. What is BELOTERO BALANCE®?
A. BELOTERO BALANCE is an injectable filler that is used to smooth moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles on your face. Upon injection, it quickly and evenly integrates into your skin.

Q. Is this like a botulinum toxin treatment?
A. No, BELOTERO BALANCE acts in a totally different way. It fills in areas within the skin to reduce the depth of wrinkles, lines, and folds. The skin remains mobile and flexible, with a natural look, feel, and movement.

Q. What is the difference between BELOTERO BALANCE and other fillers?
A. BELOTERO BALANCE is a hyaluronic acid injectable filler designed to integrate into facial skin tissue. The unique manufacturing process for BELOTERO BALANCE yields a soft and cohesive gel that, once injected, instantly fills the skin to help smooth moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles. While the product is versatile enough to handle moderate nasolabial folds (smile lines around the mouth), it may be an ideal option for treating delicate areas such as etched-in smile lines and vertical lip lines (thin lines that appear above and around the lips).

Q. How soon can I expect results?
A. Immediately upon treatment, BELOTERO BALANCE helps smooth etched-in lines and wrinkles, such as vertical lip lines above and around your lips.

Q. How long does it last?
A. Individual results may vary, but BELOTERO BALANCE may last about 6 months or more.5 Some factors that affect how long it lasts are the amount of product used and the area it is injected into. In areas that experience a lot of movement due to eating, talking, and smiling, the product may not last as long as other less active areas.

Q. How much do I need?
A. Just as wrinkles and folds vary from face to face, so does the amount ofBELOTERO BALANCE needed per treatment.1 It's very individual-it depends on the amount of correction desired, the number of areas to be treated, and other factors. Your healthcare provider can better estimate once you have a consultation about your individual needs.

Q. What is BELOTERO BALANCE made of?
A. BELOTERO BALANCE is made of a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural component of skin. HA binds to water, making it an ideal product for correcting wrinkles and folds, as it binds with the skin's own water.6 The HA in BELOTERO BALANCE is specially formulated in a proprietary process to create a uniquely smooth and cohesive gel. This injectable gel blends into the natural structure of your skin, gently filling etched-in lines and wrinkles and creating a smooth, natural look and feel.

Q. Are there any side effects?
A. BELOTERO BALANCE is FDA approved and has undergone testing in a clinical study to demonstrate its safety. Hyaluronic acid products for wrinkle correction have been available for a long time and used in thousands of treatments. Just like any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own. If any of these side effects persist for more than 7 days, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
